Public ledger
Everything we count, in public.
Most sites watch you and don't say so. Here is the entire list of what this one collects. It is short on purpose.
What we store
One thing: how many times each page has been loaded. That's the whole table below. We keep a running count per page in a plain text file, and nothing else.
What we don't store
- No IP addresses. We never read or save where you're connecting from.
- No cookies. Nothing is written to your browser. There is no banner because there is nothing to consent to.
- No user agents, no devices, no sessions, no timestamps. We can't tell one visit from the next.
- No third party. No Google, no Meta, no analytics vendor. The counter is a small script on our own server.
- No people. A number going up by one is the most we ever know about you.
We skip obvious bots so the numbers mean something. Deciding “is this a bot” happens in memory and is never written down.
The numbers
47 page views counted across 11 pages since the counter went up.
This page reads the same file the counter writes to. There is no hidden second copy.
